About Linda

I've always been that friend with a camera — the unofficial "historian” for my friends and family. From as early as 1st grade, I can remember capturing every moment with my trusty disposable film camera. By high school, I had upgraded to a traditional film camera that never left my side, always tucked away in my purse. I loved sharing memories with friends by ordering duplicate prints of all the fun moments we shared.

My passion for photography deepened in 2000, when my best friend from high school tragically passed away in a house fire. To cope with her loss, I created a scrapbook filled with every photo I could find of us—searching through my own collection and reaching out to others for any pictures they had. It was heartbreaking knowing we’d never create new memories together, and that the photos I had were now priceless. That experience taught me the true value of photography: that every image is a cherished memory, a moment frozen in time that can be revisited when nothing else remains.

In 2009, I bought my first DSLR—a Canon Rebel—and began taking photography courses the following year. Over the next decade, I honed my skills while running my graphic design business, Sprinkled Designs, where I retouched thousands of clients' photos. My role as Marketing Director for Gallery B.Fos in New Orleans also allowed me to explore commercial photography, capturing product images and refining my eye for detail.

When my family moved to Japan in 2023, I started an Instagram account, @lindalovesjapan, to document our new adventure. With a mirrorless Canon R6 Mark II in hand, I expanded my skills in photography and video editing. After 24 years of capturing memories for friends and family, I decided to take the leap and offer my services professionally, and it has been one of the most rewarding decisions I've ever made.

It’s truly an honor to capture the fleeting moments that mean the most. I look forward to helping you preserve your own cherished memories, one photo at a time.

Now that you've met me and my family, I'd love to get to know you and yours! I spend much of my time on education to improve my skills to best serve your family. I am so excited to meet you and help you preserve some beautiful memories.

You Deserve the best
